Our Story
In 2013, we built our very first pergola in our founder Justin’s backyard, in Austin, TX. We used that first pergola project as an opportunity to tweak our pergola designs, to learn how to install long-lasting structures, and to perfect our building skills. Within one year of our first build, we had fully launched Austin Pergola Company to install custom shade systems all across central Texas.
Since then, we’ve worked with thousands of happy customers to install and build their pergolas, patio covers, decks, carports, and shade systems. From small porch covers to 6-figure commercial projects, we’ve done it all.
Then, in 2018, we made the decision to expand beyond Texas and open Los Angeles Pergola Company, so we brought on our long time friend Dominick to run the Los Angeles operations. Dominick has extensive experience in construction and contracting, so he is the perfect person to lead the company in building the best products possible for our LA customers.

Dominick is a jack of all trades, and can build just about anything out of wood and metal. With a background in commercial construction, Dominick has extensive experience managing contracting projects of all sizes.
